About this deal

Many board games have small pieces. These pieces present choking hazards to small children, especially toddlers age 3 and under, so use caution when storing them in a home with babies and toddlers. You may wish to keep them on a top shelf or in a garage.

While Disney Eye Found It! Hidden Picture Card Game is still far from a perfect game, I think it is a considerable improvement over the original game. This is mostly due to the fact that it focuses on what the original game did best while getting rid of everything that didn’t add to the experience. Searching for the objects is fun. Spinning a spinner and moving the corresponding number of spaces is not fun. I have always enjoyed this find the hidden object gameplay, and it holds up pretty well in the card game. Hopefully, if you do decide to introduce your kids to Eye Found It, they’ll see that the game is fun and easy, and they can play pretty much at any time. EDIT: Something to note though is that some of the objects are slightly differently drawn on the board to the cards [like the broom, which was my first card when I finally got to play]- it’s up to you [and which player’s turn it is if you’re in our family] as to how much leeway is given…In general I can’t say that I was a big fan of the original Disney Eye Found It!. While there were elements of the game that I liked, there were too many mechanics that just dragged down the whole experience. In my review for that game I specifically mentioned that I think the game would have been much better if it just focused on the searching mechanic.

In some ways I kind of miss the large board from the original game as it forced you to search through a larger area to find the hidden objects. Searching through the smaller cards to find hidden objects doesn’t have quite the charm, but it is much easier as you don’t need to search nearly as large of an area. The gameplay is still fun on its own, and the drastically smaller box that the game comes in more than makes up for the difference between the cards and large gameboard. If you have young kids just starting to play games, be sure to look at the Eye Found It card game, a colorful game that is perfect as a starting point for kids. When shopping for board games, you first need to consider the age group you’re targeting. There are games for toddlers as young as 18 months, as well as individuals as old as 100. You’ll also find games that cater to the entire family. Each player has 1 minute to find what is on their cards; once the picture has been located, the player puts their card into a discard pile. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. Gav and I are really excited this Christmas – because at last, at long last [okay, after seven years] we are finally able to play board games properly as a family. Okay, so Hero isn’t old enough to understand what’s going on in them completely yet, but he can throw the die, move counters and most importantly, watch out for sneaky cheaters. Haha. Before electronics were so readily available, families spent rainy days inside playing board games. There are a number of benefits associated with playing these games, which is why they are still an excellent choice for passing time. Initially, I thought that because nothing changes about the board with each game, that it would be easy to find the little pictures and the game would become boring very fast – but there are over 1,000 of them to find and remembering where that many are is pretty hard, even for a super brain like Gav. Ha ha.
