Nightweave plays more like an actual opponent taking cards from the meadow without warning or taking a high value worker placement location before you could go there. When playing with plots and ploys they will sometimes offer you the opportunity to foil them by paying resources and cards which most of the time you want to do. Even better than the personalities, at least in my opinion, are the other two modules: Plans and Plots, both of which are means by which Nightweave influences the game to her favor. You can block or delete them by changing your browser settings however, as described below under the heading " How can I control cookies? Although not earth-shattering, the inclusion of these card-based modular expansions along with new Legendary cards goes a long way in adding a sprinkle of nuance to the base game of Everdell.Rather than simply rolling a D8 die and nabbing the corresponding card from the central tableau, the modus operandi of the solo opponent in Mistwood is far more cunning and interactive. Suitable for holding your squishy berries, sturdy twigs, sparkling resin, smooth pebbles, impressive pearls, shiny coin tokens, welcoming occupied tokens, and special event cards. Tie breakers are necessary sometimes which can increase the time spent on their turn but it is still manageable and doesn’t detract from the overall game experience.

You won’t always know what Nightweave is about to do, so there’s a surprise element, but for me, part of the fun in playing against bots is trying to figure out how I can use their scripts to work against them.

But deeper within the wood, a mysterious threat has been patiently waiting, making plans and sinister plots… Will the fair valley survive the webbed takeover of the clever spider Nightweave and her army of spiderlings?
