About this deal

Overall, this keyboard sounds and feels like the real thing, but I think the main reason to buy it is for its looks. There are other hammer-weighted keyboards that offer a better feel, more features, and better portability for a cheaper price (like the Yamaha P71). It does come with the power cable and pedals, but unfortunately, you have to buy the seat separately generic sustain pedal port (if you’d like to just use a generic sustain pedal as opposed to the included triple pedal unit); the included triple pedal connects to a separate port on the bottom of the piano. Even though I never use the soft and sostenudo pedals myself, I do quite like the feel of the included sustain pedal, and even though it’s bigger than a standalone sustain pedal, it’s still totally portable if you want. Described as a piano that can be 'seamlessly integrated into modern home décor',I can definitely confirm the Donner DDP-80 Plusfulfils that statement.

Neatly, the DDP-80’s included floor-mounted full three-pedal unit offers all the versatility and control of a full-size piano, and the two built-in speakers (driven by a 2 x 20W amplifier) fire downwards from the piano’s lower chassis to fill the room with sound.

An affordable digital piano that looks nicer than many expensive models? This deserves a closer look...

I've been seeing ads and questions re the Donner DDP-80. There is a pretty comprehensive review already from AZPianonews but I thought I'd share some of my thoughts. You’ll see pianos with over 300 sounds to play with, pianos that allow you to adjust every tiny detail of the sound – from the pitch right down to the parameter of the strings, pianos that have ‘Harmonic Imaging XL sound technology’, and pianos that have a ‘RH3 responsive hammer action’. If we were to ask you what a RH3 responsive hammer action is, would you be able to answer?

Very much the perfect partner (read rival) to the P-45 above, the Casio CDP-S110 is a near feature identical, identically priced take on the exact same market. It too features 10 sounds, all the usual headphone, USB and pedal ports and a full-size 88-note weighted keybed. YouTube: Modern Home Aesthetic & Classic Piano Quality, Donner DDP-80 Digital Piano丨Donner Spotlight (Promotional Demo Footage) Although it doesn’t have an electronic interface or multiple sounds, the Donner DDP-80 allows you to plug in an iPad, or a computer. With the iPad, you can use Donner’s teaching app to learn, or you can plug in your computer and use advanced music editing software. Donner DDP-80 vs. Other Donner Models Roland’s patented SuperNatural piano technology delivers an amazingly detailed and nuanced sound, while split mode gives you a four-octave piano at each end of the keyboard - great for teaching. The amp and speakers – while adequate – aren't as powerful and full sounding as larger rivals, however, though with a decent pair of headphones you'll skip any worries. The Donner DDP-80 has 128 notes of polyphony; and while this is already quite good for the price range, I want to talk about how polyphony plays a big role with the DDP-80 because it only has one sound.Piano legs are made of wood wrapped in lightweight metal to reduce the overall weight, making the piano durable and enhancing aesthetics. They're also more adaptable to a wide range of temperatures and environments. Do the legs/does the stand come attached? I want to know if the legs can be screwed off and I can store it without the legs when its not in use. We’re fully onboard with what Donner has tried to do with the look of the DDP-80, though, and it’s nice to have a flat surface on the top to write notes or put your coffee down on. Just make sure you use a coaster, yeah? MIDI via both USB and Bluetooth means that the FP-10 plays nicely with Roland’s excellent Piano Partner 2 app, and also makes a great MIDI controller keyboard. This product comes with a MIDI USB interface. You can input the MIDI signal of the piano into the computer, and then get the filtered sound you want on the music editing software of the computer, but this sound cannot be played from the speaker of the piano.
