The Sensitive Shampoo (Normal/Dry) is free of fragrance, colour, silicon, SLS, alcohol, gluten and parabens. (It does contain SLE’s but these are a gentler version of an SLS – Explained perfectly here.) It’s mild formulation means that it can be used daily if needed and is suitable for all the family, little ones included. It contains Aloe vera leaf juice which is known for it’s soothing, healing and regenerative effects (which also contains on average 75 active ingredients like Vitamin A, C, E and B12), Vitamin B5, which helps prevent moisture loss, whilst deep conditioning the scalp. It also has Citric Acid which is great for helping eliminate any dandruff from the scalp and Glycerine, which is great for moisture retention which in turn supports softer and stronger hair. Sensitive Conditioner:Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Octyldodecanol, Ceteareth-20, Behentrimonium Chloride, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Tocopheryl Acetate, Amodimethicone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide. After shampooing, massage a small amount of conditioner into hair and scalp, working through to the ends that are most prone to damage, so it distributes evenly. For ultimate nourishment, leave on for 1-3 minutes. Rinse well. Style as normal. Balmonds offer a natural shampoo which is free of perfume, soap and SLS’s. It’s light formula doubles up as a body wash and is gentle enough to be used on babies from just 6 weeks. It’s great as it doesn’t contain any of the irritating synthetic nasties those with allergy-prone skin might want to avoid so is our product of choice for my boys weekly post-swim shower. It’s made with herbal extracts and is plant-based with sensitive skin in mind. I love that it’s a multi-purpose wash which means using it in the shower won’t upset the skin on your body as it is so mild and gentle. I love this for my boys as a shampoo and body wash and like to take it to the gym for my post-workout shower product. Kindness to Skin ★★★★★ There’s some benefits to the use of sodium laureth sulfate in our formulation too. Sodium laureth sulfate helps oil and water-based ingredients, which generally don’t mix, to become dispersed. It is perfect for use in haircare because it is a paste and it makes a beautiful light lather, which helps the hands work the product through the hair with ease. Do we need our shampoo to lather?

You know some people just have good hair? I’m not one of them. I haven’t the patience to style it and get in a right kerfuffle if I attempt to use my straighteners to do anything other than their intended purpose. How does one get a cute wave with their GHDs? It baffles me.

Irritated by irritants

Whilst it is tested under dermatological control it does contain Linalool/ Limonene which can irritate those with an allergy. Kindness to Skin ★★★★ It’s a great shampoo that cleanses my hair very well without drying out my hair or my scalp. It just smells clean and fresh. I love that it comes in a huge 350ml tube! It will last me ages.
