About this deal

Nurgle daemons are very forgiving and fun to paint. You can incorporate bright and dark colors, nearly on a whim, to experiment and learn. The best part about painting Nurgle daemons is that, even when you mess up, if it looks cool, Papa Nurgle can justify it. Plus you get an excuse to heavily use weathering and other effects! Let’s get into it.

The gold Aquilas on the Reaver carapaces are done in Imperial Gold (fitting name) for a slightly lighter tone so that it wouldn’t blend with the trim too much, also then shaded with Agrax. Weapon effects: Aeldari Emerald is a colour unlike any in the current Contrast range, giving you a brand new choice for a whole range of effects. Thin down Citadel Wraithbone and add Citadel Lahmian medium so you have a usable translucent beige. Apply this on the flat parts of the skin e.g. the tops of arms, shoulders, cheeks, foreheads etc… Next, I laid down some basic skin tones, ranging from Model Color Royal Purple (shadow), to Pink Horror (midtone), up to Kislev Flesh (highlight). It’s pretty desaturated at this point, but the gist is there. THE STATION - Warhammer и Настольные Игры - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7fI8SmlQm2Q9nNYkwiRatgHighlight the pink with Citadel Emperor’s Children, highlight the blue with Citadel Baharroth Blue. White Armour: – Wash with Apothecary White, keep an eye out for pooling in the crevices and draw it away before it sets too much. – Soft Drybrush VGC Ghost Grey with a round-tipped makeup brush. – Edge Highlight the most raised parts of the armour with White Scar. Tyranids: Tyranids are a faction of monstrous, bioengineered creatures that consume all life in their path. Magos Purple can be used to paint their carapaces, adding a layer of depth and detail to their already intricate designs. The colour can also be used to highlight their weapons, claws, and teeth, making them appear even more menacing.

Drukhari: The Drukhari, also known as Dark Eldar, are a faction of sadistic and hedonistic space elves who reside in the Webway. Their armour and weapons are known for their sleek and elegant design, making them a perfect canvas for Magos Purple. The colour can be used to paint their vehicles, soldiers, and infantry to add a darker and more ominous look to their aesthetic. I know what you’re thinking. This isn’t technically a Nurgle Daemon. This is a Daemon Prince of Nurgle. Get over it. It’s got the Nurgle Daemon skin we’re looking for. To get the skin to the above-pictured state, I’ve zenithal highlighted the whole model with white ink, anti-zenithal low-lighted with purple ink (i.e., shot purple ink up, onto the underside of everything), then applied Elysian Green straight on (i.e., not at an upward or downward angle, just straight on). Lastly, I mixed 50/50 Elysian Green with Menoth White Highlight and sprayed directly down. You can see the shadows and highlights are somewhat exaggerated and some of the wound recesses are purple too. Emma: I’ll start off by batch painting Termagants because there are a lot of these in the box, and once you know how to paint these little biomass-devouring creatures, you’ll know how to paint the rest of your Tyranids, as they all feature the same constituent parts.

While the skin is wet.Wash in neat Citadel Carroberg Crimson over the claws to give a cheap gradient effect. I repeat this a couple of times to darken the claws.
