About this deal

In fact I wouldn't even recommend clipping this pen to something sensitive, like a shirt pocket, because you'll end up ripping it to pieces. The nibs that come with the "out of the box" Jinhaos have always worked OK for me, but I find them a little characterless.

On a separate note, SBREBROWN videos on youtube are a source of excellent reviews on fountain pens and inks fully recommended! The cap features a thick band of silver trim which is real metal and is embossed with "Jinhao" on one side and "X750" on another, with a tribal-like design in between. I can’t comment on the standard nib other than it’s a medium and very smooth but I quickly replaced it with the Niko G dip nib.The site states that “Every nib that ships from His Nibs is closely examined under high magnification and tuned or adjusted if needed. During the last few weeks that I’ve used this pen, I’ve begun to enjoy its writing experience much more than I did when I first bought the pen. The nib unscrews This style seems to be one of the harder ones to get ink moving on for me, but doing so isn't overly difficult. Piston - A type of filling system that uses a retracting plunger inside a sealed tube to draw ink into a pen. I may read up on how the different Jinhao models differ and maybe even pick up a few of the X750s and hold them for giveaways to those I encounter that express an interest in fountain pens.

The comments were insightful, ranging from some people being elitist towards certain “fancy” or “nice” brands and other mentioning factory conditions. Following this, I asked on the subreddit r/fountainpens why the fountain pen community was so divided on Jinhaos. About: Jinhao seems to be one of these Chinese makers who can create pens that look intended for a cushy desk job without having to sell off your first born for a power pen. If that fails, briefly wetting the nib under a running tap or in cup of water will usually start the capillary flow. Using Diamine ancient copper ink and Clairefontaine paper I was amazed how well the feed keeps up with even extreme flex. The ring on the cap side has Jinhao at the end of the clip, X750 on the opposite side, and decorative ivy vines going around between.
