About this deal

Enhance Sandwiches: Spread a layer of whipped brie onto your favorite sandwiches. It pairs well with roasted turkey, ham, or even grilled vegetables, adding a creamy and savory element to your lunch or picnic spread. It’s always fun to experiment and discover your own favorite wine and brie pairings. Remove the Rind or Leave It on? The rind of brie cheese is often removed before whipping. The rind can leave lumps in the whipped cheese and adds a stronger flavor than some people enjoy. The result of removing the rind is a whipped cheese with a smoother, more consistent flavor and texture. Dried fruit: Use dried apricots, cranberries, dates, or figs as a topping. Just make sure to give them a rough chop beforehand until they’re bite-sized.

Create a French-influenced lunch sandwich by warming your baguette slices in the oven. Bake for ten minutes to get the bread toast. Then add the cut cheese to make a gooey sandwich. Add your favourite ham and top with arugula; add halved cherry tomatoes or a balsamic glaze for extra flavour. Process the mixture until the brie cheese is smooth and whipped. This usually takes a few minutes, depending on the power of your food processor or blender. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl occasionally to ensure everything is well incorporated.( Do NOT mix too much or the brie will beak down to runniness.) Finally, the add ins: You can add a bit of cream or olive or avocado oil to enhance the texture of your finished brie. You can also add seasonings and herbs to compliment your use for it. It’s all so creative.

#1 THE BEST RAW MATERIALS

Brie rind is very much edible, providing earthy tones to the cheese itself and protecting it from the outside environment. It develops on the outside of the cheese thanks to a penicillium mold that is added to the milk during the cheesemaking process. That said, there aren't many resources for what to do with leftover rind beyond consumption. Don’t worry, I have the perfect solution: Rind chips!

You can shape and then refrigerate the pastries ahead, then cover and refrigerate. You can also freeze then uncooked and un-topped with jam. Simply place the pastries on top of the baking sheet into the freezer. Once firm, transfer to a freezer bag or container. Try it served with fig jam, chopped hazelnuts (or pistachios) and a drizzle of hot honey. So good! How to Serve Whipped Brie:

The pursuit of perfection

Whipping brie shortens its shelf life. After brie is whipped, the rind is removed or whipped in so it cannot protect the cheese. In a nutshell, whipping brie increases surface area available to spoilage, there is no longer a protective barrier, and the cheese can dry out faster. This impacts shelf life compared to whole wheel of brie or even wedges with the rind on. Fat and Calories: Brie cheese is relatively high in fat and calories compared to some other cheeses. It is a rich source of saturated fats.

Transfer the chips to a paper towel-lined plate to finish cooling to room temperature or until crispy. Brie stops aging after you slice it, so eat is as soon as possible to avoid having it spoil on you. If you have to store it, wrap it up in parchment or wax paper and keep it in a refrigerator drawer away from moisture. Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Président Cheese. Any topping that works with a round of Brie can be used as a dollop on top of these puff pastry appetizers. How to Shape These Easy Brie and Jam Puff PastriesAs you whip the brie, keep a close eye on the texture and stop when it reaches a creamy, spreadable consistency that you prefer. It’s essential to strike a balance between achieving a light and fluffy texture while not overworking the cheese, as excessive whipping can result in the cheese breaking down too much and becoming runny. Brie cheese pairs well with a variety of wines. Here are some popular wine options that complement the flavors and textures of brie: Whipped brie is best enjoyed relatively soon after preparation to ensure optimal flavor and texture. While it can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days, don’t expect it stay fresh, spreadable and moist longer than that. For the best taste and quality, make it and serve within two days.
