About this deal

As mentioned above this time you can change the coils – there are 3 different coils available 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm. You get the 0.6 and 0.8ohm included in the kit.

Weighing just 40g fully assembled, the Xlim C is a sleek little wonder of modern vape technology. With just a single button and an adjustable airflow switch on one side, there is little to configure and even less to maintain. This is where a big change has happened – you can remove and replace the coils – which for me is excellent as it saves waste (you discard the coil instead of the whole pod). Xlim pods – L-R: V2 fixed coil pod, Xlim C removable coil pod Recharging is easy and absolutely rapid with a type-c charging cable, recharging from 0-80% in just 30 minutes. We found a full charge takes around 50 minutes if the kit is completely dead. The Xlim C offers dual activation, Smart Mode for power adjustment, and RDTL & MTL vape style compatibility.

Final Review Verdict

Testing coil performance on the XLIM C has been kinda fun because I haven’t used their coils before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve used coils from most companies out there, so I have a pretty good idea of where most of them usually stand. Most of it is similar to the previous versions with a side fill port with a lift up silicone cover. There is even a little indent to allow you to get your thumbnail under the cover with ease.

The OXVA Xlim C replacement coils are designed to be used with the OXVA Xlim C vape kit. Thanks to there being multiple versions of this coil, you’re able to create an MTL (Mouth To Lung) and an RDTL (Restricted Direct To Lung) inhale. Plus, their mesh build means that e-liquid is heated up faster, creating a fuller flavour. The Xlim C weighs in at just 40g fully assembled, made from a combination of strong Aluminium Alloy and PCTG for a sleek, attractive finish and added durability. The OXVA Xlim C Kit is available in a total of 10 finishes, with styles such as: solid colours, gradients, and camos. Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. Inside the box is the OXVA Xlim C vape kit (thank god), two spare coils, a free lanyard (pretty pointless), 2 coils a user manual and thank the lord – a type-c charger. Previously OXVA released a kit without a charger which we never understand, but they’ve nailed it this time round by including it, kudos. The OXVA Xlim C is perfectly suited to those switching from disposable vapes that want a hassle free vaping experience. Apart from changing the coils (which is easy in this kit), there isn’t too much to worry about. We’d therefore recommend it to beginner vapers and intermediate vapers who might want a smaller more convenient device. Pro’s and Cons Pro’s

Nic Salt vs. 50/50 E-Liquids - A detailed break down of the differences between freebase and nic salt E-Liquids. I mainly used my own e-liquid mix which is 50/50 PG/VG made from IVG Bubblegum Concentrate at 20% ratio. This is quite high a flavour ratio as I prefer plenty of flavour, but sadly this means it can be a coil killer sometimes. Filling the pod is made easy thanks to the V2 side or V3 top filling port – meaning there is no need to remove the pod from the device to fill with the V3.The output is specified as 25W maximum but there are 3 levels of power output to select. These power levels depend on the coil installed… The battery capacity is the same as previous versions at 900mAh and USB Type C charging at up to 2A is provided. According to OXVA you can charge up to 80% in only 30 minutes. There can be no doubt that OXVA produce some of the best kits in the game when it comes to small pod devices. The Xlim C really is a great kit but I remain unconvinced it’s better than it’s predecessors. The replaceebale coil seems unecessary and I can’t see any upside to it. Although the Xlim C doesn’t leak and the coils last well, it does make it prone to these things. The flavour production is incredible, just like disposables with the right liquid. Battery life is strong and an adjustable airflow is of course welcomed. All round, this is an excellent kit for beginners. The battery portion of the Xlim C has a single button on the front with an X on it that illuminates when firing or charging the unit. Near the bottom of that same side is the Oxva logo. The single button has a few different features. When you take a puff it illuminates to show the battery level in green, blue, or red. The button operation is as follows.

With the 0.6ohm coil I got around 5 hours of heavy vaping on the lowest power level. This equates to around 4 pod fills. I can’t comment yet on whether the coils will be more economical than the pods of the earlier versions, plus I am not at a point to assess whether the coil life is as good either.
