About this deal

Another window is situated on the other side, nestling among tree roots. The distinct shape is cleverly recreated using tan wheel arch pieces, which have not appeared in this colour before. Furthermore, those tree roots are integrated beautifully, generally following the contours of the hut, but leaving some gaps to give the impression of natural growth. A great gift idea for fans of the classic Star Wars trilogy, the set includes clear building instructions so even LEGO newcomers can enjoy the fun, creative experience. The Death Star Trench Run Diorama captures the tension and drama of an unforgettable moment in time in Star Wars: A New Hope. Three TIE Fighters, including Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced, pursue Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing. Frozen-in-time laser blasts from a TIE Fighter and Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter take aim at Skywalker. The mostly gray trench features many industrial details. A name plaque with a Darth Vader quotation attaches to the front of the display. 1. LEGO Star Wars Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama 75330 With awareness that this is a different idea for LEGO Star Wars, you can begin to appreciate the different ways that this LEGO set has been created, and understand that this is the only way this sort of detail for such a scene could otherwise be offered in an official LEGO Star Wars release. With acceptance of 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama’s differences, its strengths really begin to show themselves.

The buildable LEGO Star Wars Helmet series also features an 18+ recommendation for similar reasons as the dioramas. How many LEGO Star Wars Diorama set are there? The price per piece should exclude 1x1 plates, pips, and tiles, to give a true impression of the value for money. In this set nearly 200 trans green 1x1 pieces are used. Subtract that from the piece count and then re-do the maths. This set is tremendously expensive for what it is. A nice model and a lovely rendition of the scene. But pricey. That said, LEGO know that if you want it, you should buy it now. Waiting a few months will leave you in the manipulated scalpers market, likely paying double. Either way, it’s likely to sell out soon. The swamp around the hut has a number of plant-based elements ready to ping off should you attempt to dive in with those clumsy fingers, while the trees are likewise very much built into the hut and with a higher number of looser-than-usual connections than you’d otherwise expect. Luke Skywalker's training on Dagobah is probably my favourite sequence from throughout the Star Wars saga and 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training presents the scene beautifully. The swampy environment looks marvellous and features exceptional detail, while Yoda's hut achieves superb accuracy when compared with the source material, as anticipated. Build your collection – This set is part of a series of collectible LEGO® Star Wars™ build-to-display diorama models, each depicting a beloved Star Wars sceneYoda's hut has been represented twice before at minifigure-scale. However, those two designs focused upon play value, whereas this rendition prioritises accuracy. The resultant structure is exceptionally detailed and its rounded shape looks outstanding, recreating the hardened mud construction associated with Yoda's home. Crap, I might have talked myself out of at least two of the sets being overpriced :) I still stand by the trench run set being too pricey. This building technique has previously appeared in 70620 NINJAGO City and its successors, featuring differing plates beneath the water. The effect here is relatively subtle because these trans-green elements are darker than the trans-light blue water from the NINJAGO City series. Assembling the 1x1 tiles is inherently repetitive, but I think the result warrants that complexity.

For me, I like them all. But, the Trench Run seems less economical to me because there are no minifigs. I'm a minifig junkie and am salivating over the new droid prints. That said, I will probably wait for a discount/GWP for all of them. The LEGO construction involves a collection of curved slopes and bows, avoiding the same shapes appearing too frequently. The integration of dark tan and olive green highlights looks wonderful, alongside a tiny plume of smoke. Additionally, the high window reflects the original building, while the window that R2-D2 peers through would be positioned behind the tree, so outside the scope of this model. The LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection takes this design aesthetic to the next level, featuring a crisp box that defines the edges, complete with a plaque on the front and what appear to be vents on the sides — almost as if this is an electronic device like a holo-projector. You spend the remainder of the build process filling in landscape and structural details within this box.

The space inside is extremely cramped, barely accommodating two minifigures. Nevertheless, some details from the movies are present, including a cooking pot and Yoda's simple bed. The stove is perfectly positioned beside the chimney and features a few trans-red and trans-orange tiles, hidden behind the pot. Yoda's lightsaber, meanwhile, is stored in the rafters. Gift idea – Treat yourself or give this 1,000-piece set as a holiday gift or birthday present to an adult Star Wars™ fan, passionate LEGO® builder or collector of LEGO Star Wars dioramas For LEGO fans my age whose favorite childhood sets may have been Forestmen sets like 6066 Camouflaged Outpost, the combination of arches and flat leaf pieces capped by 1×2 plates or tiles will feel nostalgically familiar. This set is part of a collectible series of buildable LEGO Star Wars diorama models, each depicting an iconic Star Wars moment, to spark nostalgia for any fanInspired by Star Wars: A New Hope, the LEGO Star Wars Death Star™ Trench Run Diorama invites builders to recreate the gripping scene of Darth Vader™’s pursuit of Luke Skywalker™, as Luke fights to destroy the newly-built Death Star for a victory on the Rebellion side. Finish off the build with the memorable words of Darth Vader, “The Force is strong with this one.”

The set was provided for review by LEGO. All opinions expressed are those of the author. Minifigures Printed quotations also accompany each model and the scenes on Dagobah certainly provide ample material to draw upon. I think Yoda's famous comment regarding conviction when using the Force was most appropriate though. The neighbouring LEGO Star Wars branding adorns a 2x4 tile, also present across the burgeoning diorama series. There are no play functions in this set, no opening doors or sides to the hut and no movement in the starfighter wing – everything contributes to setting the scene, everything is there for visuals, even if you can move the minifigures around and play with them as usual. Or, you could do what Ole intended all those years ago … and build your own version. Much more fun!"With particular consideration to what has now been confirmed as 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama, anticipation also pegged these sets as likely being on the larger size and even with the sets now revealed, a 1,000-piece Dagobah-based display piece could and ordinarily would have you dreaming of something larger than what 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Dioramaactually is, particularly when 2018’s 75208 Yoda’s Hut came in at a similar size for the little green guy’s home and was made with just 229 pieces.
