About this deal

Editor-in-Chief at PC Perspective. Writer of computer stuff, vintage PC nerd, and full-time dad. Still in search of the perfect smartphone. Nice to see Corsair throwing out all of us who don't rush out to replace perfectly working Corsair products. Most motherboard headers are designed for 1A of power, with the liquid cooling headers usually being 2A. When I boot it's fine, I can see the device and fan speeds, a minute later the colours stop changing and I can no longer see up to date RPMs, colour in iCue is correct but not on the unit itself. If I exit iCue and start it again I no longer see the cooler, just my RAM. Hello everyone, I registered here to report the same issue with my H100i RGB Pro XT. It has become really frustrating.

Harness the power of iCUE with the included iCUE Commander CORE to control the fan speed and RGB lighting for the included ML RGB fans, with the potential to control additional CORSAIR RGB fans, up to a total ofsix. You can test with another cable as well - it's standard Micro USB so you can use a standard cable and route to rear IO panel. In his nonexistent spare time Sebastian's hobbies include hi-fi audio, guitars, and road bikes. Currently investigating time travel. My Corsair H100i Pro is not being detected in iCUE, I have installed the micro USB header to both USB headers on my Commander Pro and still no detection from iCUE. I even tried to connect the USB 2.0 to the spare connection on my motherboard and still no detection from iCUE. Is my cable faulty or do I need to replace the entire AIO?

iCUE H100i ELITE LCD Display Liquid CPU Cooler - CORSAIR

While it was fairly easy with previous generations of CPUs for coolers to keep the flagship i9 processor well under TJ max (the maximum temperature a CPU can sustain without throttling) in tough workloads, this is no longer realistically possible on current generation CPUs (and the 13900K especially) without extreme cooling (or enabling power limits). All iCUE LINK LCD AIOs include pre-applied CORSAIR XTM70 Extreme Performance thermal paste for maximum heat transfer from your high-end processor to the cooler cold plate. You might be better off web searching for that data. Not many people will own both coolers and happen to keep an anechoic chamber in the spare room. The H100x also has a more limited release market so there are fewer of them out there. Good to hear. But what about fan control? Can you control the max speeds they can spin or can you only change at what speed they should be spinning at?

So, if all these models have the exact same pump and cooling fluid capacity/flow, well.... you get my point. ;)

The advantage to this method is that common loads will not cause the cooler’s fans to reach louder levels. Even when I opened 50 tabs in a row in Mozilla Firefox, the cooler ran as silently as an idle load. Puffy23 said:Any information on the maximum current each of the fan channels can support? That specific unit uses 2x ML120 Pro, which is rated for 0.225A of power. The double-wide radiator offers approximately twice the cooling area of our Hydro Series coolers which use a 120mm or 140mm radiator. It fits virtually any case that has dual 120mm fan mounts spaced for a 240mm radiator. Advanced SP120L PWM fans The load temps with the iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT were excellent using the “Extreme” profile, coming in just behind the larger (280 mm) H115i RGB PLATINUM at the same performance preset. “Balanced” results were actually tied between these two liquid coolers, but the “Quiet” preset was not kind to the iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT here, as a more aggressive fan profile is needed with this CPU. You clearly are not here for helping. And if you didn't know i already have specified my specs. It's right under my profile name; (fryzen's specs).Albert.Thomas said:The LCD versions are the exact same models as the non-LCD versions, just with the fancy displayYeah, I figured as much and that's what I think will be a nice thing to add to a review. I'm still having the issues. Received a brand new one (RMA replacement) from OriginPC. Bought my own certified replacement cables. Nothing has circumvented the inevitable. Expand your iCUE Murals creations to your setup's walls and surroundings with Nanoleaf smart lighting devices, for a fully immersive gaming experience. There is zero reason to drop support for support for a unit that hasn't changed at all...adding LEDs doesn't change how the fans, pump, and sensors work. Control and customize Philips Hue smart lighting devices through your iCUE software, and synchonize ambient room lighting with the rest of your RGB setup.

But with the Pro, you'll be able to control it from iCUE based on coolant temp, which is the proper way to do it. With the H100x, you won't. Fans will be controlled in the BIOS, likely based on CPU speed, which will cause it to ramp up sooner and more than it actually needs to.

While a particular user may be able to give their relative and subjective impressions of one cooler or the other, no one here has both coolers, a test bench, and a relatively obscure 7 year old processor to give you precise temperature and sound data significant to you. You need to find a professional review of one or both coolers to get that data and try to find a relatively similar TDP processor for power to make the temp comparisons meaningful. I think that last part is probably a long shot, so any comparison with another 4 core will have to do. The temperature differences are going to small, one way or another. A powerful all-in-one CPU cooler leveraging revolutionary iCUE LINK technology for easier, faster, and cleaner building than ever before.
