I was curious to see how their relationship would develop, how Whit’s (yes, that’s his name- short for Whittaker btw) character development after his disgusting behaviour, that was, from the very beginning, really concerning. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of one is because it was (at least up to, like, 50%, before I had any clue that none of the characters would have a well-made redemption arc) entertaining. I really liked the idea of the rich kid boarding school. I love that trope. But this was just an incredibly poorly executed dark romance that instead glorifies SA, slut shames women CONSTANTLY, and tries to shift the blame of r*pe on the girl. And is actually convinced that it’s right. Seriously, though, this book was literal shit! 💩 I'm not kidding, and I never say this about any book! Well, I didn't DNF it and read the whole thing (because I was in my "do not DNF any book" era).

I still read the epilogue and I’m so mad that he got his happy ending lmao. I bet that he did not grovel once.
