So it was that on the 22nd July 2020 almost 12 years since we’d first discovered it independently of each other, the four of us walked through the doors of Vero Gusto together, for the first time.And just to make me feel that nothing ever really changes too much, we were, once again, the last to leave. I was scared about moving countries (especially because I spoke very little English), but Saverio was so enthusiastic about the whole idea. You'll feel like you're dining in a cozy trattoria in the heart of Rome, rather than in the vibrant city of Birmingham. We even did an all dayer once, starting with morning coffee then lunch, then wine, then cake then dinner and were the last to leave that evening (we’d wisely allowed the next day for recovery).
